How can you get your post baby body back? It is possible. With some key tips, you can get back into your skinny jeans.

Getting back to your old body after having a baby can seem like a daunting task at best. Your old clothes are too tight, your body is not what it used to be and now you have no time to exercise!

If you’re feeling like getting your body back is a hopeless situation, think again. There are many ways to get back into shape and still get the housework done and put the baby for a nap.

Prioritize If it’s really that important, you will find the time to do it. Stop talking, and start taking action! Little pockets of exercise throughout the day are just as effective as one long session—many studies have been done to prove this theory. So if you are desperate to exercise but only have five minutes, then take those five minutes and do some crunches. Then take five minutes while you’re cooking and do some squats and calf raises. Five more minutes can be found while you’re rocking the baby—just add a few walks or shuffles while you’re rocking and make it a little more cardiovascular. Do you go out for walks with your baby? Walking is a tremendous form of exercise and works your cardiovascular system as well as the muscles in your legs.

Mom’s Unite Form a group with other mothers who will meet at a designated time each week. If you’re accountable to a group, or even just one other person, exercising will become an easier habit in your life, rather than a chore that seems unattainable. With the support of other moms like yourself, you can be encouraged to walk that extra 10 minutes and burn a few more calories. Make sure to skip the high fat/high sugar “treat” at the end, you will only undo all of your hard work and you won’t see any changes in your body for the positive.

Eat Right

It’s hard to eat well when you’re a busy mom with no time. Prepackaged food is so easy and quick, but the calorie and fat content can be very high. Instead of grab and go, why not spend some time once or twice a week pre packaging your own healthy snacks? Carrot sticks, low fat cheese, apple slices; all of these are good snack ideas that can be left in the fridge in a container, ready to go. As well, skip the high calorie beverages like sugared pop and full fat mochas. Opt instead for water or tea.

To get your body back is an attainable goal; set your sights on what you want and make sure you are not the one holding yourself back. You can do it!
